Natural short hair has always been a favorite style for many given its often trendy look. However, not many fans of this look will consider walking down the aisle with short hair. Most brides envision themselves in long, beautiful waves on their wedding day. If extensions are not on your budget then you should consider these tips that will help your hair grow back fast for your wedding.
Do not Trim your Hair every Month
Constant trimming isn’t such a good idea especially if your hair grows inch after inch every month. You definitely don’t want to cut off all that progress. To make it worse, a split end can travel up the hair shaft causing your hair to break off. In order to maintain your hair growth without compromising its progress, give your hair a slight trim every three months to cut away split ends without stunting growth.
Take care of your hair by avoiding use of harsh chemicals. Limit the number of times you shampoo to two or three times a week. Cleansing your hair frequently can strip your strands of natural oils making your hair prone to breakage. Brush your hair a couple of times a day with a natural bristle brush to get rid of the oily roots. This will distribute oils down the hair shaft and help you fight the temptation to wash.
Avoid the elements
Hot climate can cause havoc on your poor locks. Exposure to UV rays from the sun causes your hair to strip down and cause damage over time. Salt water and chlorine on the other hand causes hair to dry out making it brittle. In order to protect your hair from these elements, always wear your hat every time you step out and rinse your hair with fresh water immediately after a quick dip in the ocean or pool.
You may be thinking that curling irons, flat irons and dryers are the best way to keep frizz away but in reality they will fry your strands and cause more frizz. In order to achieve healthier locks try as much as possible to air dry your hair. To add to it, avoid brushing or sleeping with wet hair because damp strands are more susceptible to damage. Detangle damp hair with a wide tooth comb and squeeze excess water out gently with an old clean rag.
Drink plenty of water and eat right
Consuming enough water is the best way to keep your hair moisturised and healthy. Water helps to push toxins out of your body and promotes hair growth. Eating fruits and vegetables is a good way of strengthening your hair strands from the inside- out.
